I may be a late comer to the Disney Adult category, but I’ve done my best to make up for lost time. We took our first family trip to Disney World in 2016 and it was the most magical time! Seeing the Disney magic through the eyes of my young children gave me a whole new respect and admiration for all things Disney.
After that first trip I became a Walt Disney World pass holder and have been going deeper and deeper down the rabbit hole ever since. Those initial trips with toddlers soon gave way to solo trips, vacations with school age children, trips with teenagers and multi-generational trips with grandparents in tow.
Looking to expand my Disney adventures even further led me to runDisney. Just a few years ago I would have laughed at the idea of running even a single mile. Now I’ve completed over 2 dozen runDisney events from 5Ks to the Dopey challenge. runDisney has provided me with a whole new way to enjoy the Disney Parks experience and brought great health benefits as well.
Being the parent of an autistic daughter has profoundly shaped my perspective on the unique challenges that families can encounter while navigating busy theme parks. It has taught me to be more attuned to the sensory sensitivities, overwhelming crowds, and the need for thoughtful planning that can make these experiences enjoyable for everyone. This perspective has deepened my empathy and understanding, allowing me to approach these situations with greater patience and creativity. It’s also inspired me to explore ways to make theme park visits more accessible, inclusive, and stress-free for families who might face similar challenges.
It’s not all Disney all the time—I also have a passion for cruising and have enjoyed incredible adventures with Disney Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean, and soon Celebrity Cruises. Cruising is such a unique way to explore the world, offing the perfect blend of relaxation, adventure, and the opportunity to experience diverse destinations in a single journey. Each cruise line offers its own distinct charm, and I love helping others discover the joy of cruising as a way to see the world from a whole new perspective.
Having had so many wonderful Disney experiences, I feel inspired to help others discover their own joy in Disney travel. There’s nothing more rewarding than helping families uncover their Disney magic and create unforgettable memories. I love guiding others to experience Disney in a way that fits their unique needs and preferences, ensuring that every family can enjoy the magic in a way that works best for them.
