My first trip to Disney World was when I was 7 years old back in 1972, right after Magic Kingdom opened. Peter Pan broke down when my dad and I were flying over London. They turned on all the lights and I know what makes the little streets look like they have little cars!
Since then, I have been back over 20 times as an adult. I have been with small children, tweens, teenagers, other adults, my mother and mother in law and larger groups to run Disney races. I have also visited the Disneylands in Anaheim, Paris, Tokyo and Hong Kong. They’re all amazing. There is something for everyone at Walt Disney World!
Favorite Snack - soft serve ice cream with Coke on top (a coke float), the wacky flavors of popcorn at Tokyo Disneyland (soy sauce, honey, curry, strawberry…).
Favorite Restaurant - Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge, Katsura Grill hidden away in Japan at Epcot, Satu’li Canteen in Pandora at Animal Kingdom and Grand Floridian Cafe at the Grand Floridian Hotel and Spa.
Favorite Fastpass - Soarin’ at Epcot, Mine Train at Magic Kingdom and Slinky Dog Dash at Hollywood Studios.
Favorite Way to end the day - When Animal Kingdom is open after it gets dark, I love wandering around in that park. It’s usually not crowded, which is a treat, and it’s just so beautiful with amazing details that I notice when it’s quiet.
Specific Areas of Expertise - Walt Disney World with families (large and small), adults traveling without children, RunDisney, other Disney parks.
Disney World is my happy place. Let me help make it one of your happy places too.
