Neal Jones
Concord, North Carolina I remember the first time my wife and children took me to Disney in 2011. I had never really wanted to go to Disney before, but when I saw the excitement in their eyes and I remembered the advice a friend of mine gave me to approach it as a child myself, I saw the magic for the first time and I knew it would be a treasured place in my life. Since that first trip, we have also gone to Universal and multiple Disney cruises, which are both wonderful, but my heart is in Disney World. I now go several times a year; sometimes as an entire family, sometimes just my wife and I, and once a year I go on a guys trip. We call it our brocation. Regardless of who I have gone with, what time of year it is, or what the weather is like, the one consistency is it has always been magical. I would love to facilitate you experiencing that same magic I have for nearly a decade. My favorite Disney snack is an ice cream cookie sandwich from beaches & cream soda shop at Disney's Beach Club (a short walk from the International Gateway at Epcot) My favorite Disney restaurant for families is Whispering Canyon. It has a great menu and an incredibly fun atmosphere. I love asking for the ketchup. My favorite Disney restaurant for adults is Tiffin's, and I particularly like to sit in the prayer flags room. While my kids have been there as well, I absolutely love taking Mandy there and having a nice meal with just the two of us. My absolute favorite thing to do at Disney is to put my keys away. If I'm flying, I put them into my carry-on as soon as I get to the airport. If I'm driving, I put them into my bag when I get to my room. One of the many amazing things about Disney is they can take care of everything. They provide complimentary transportation all around the resort including from the airport using Magical Express. Putting away my keys represents me getting to put away my responsibilities. I don't have to worry about driving the family around and making sure everyone is where they are supposed to be. I don't have to worry about cooking dinner and cleaning at home. I don't have to worry about what is happening in my office. When those keys go into the bags, so do the worries. It means I get to relax and be fully present where I am. While I am quite knowledgeable on most things Disney World and Disney Cruise Lines, two particular areas I have become an expert on are RunDisney events, having done them since 2012, and how to Disney as an adult. Since my kids have gotten into high school, (and now one in college) my wife and I have been able to explore more of the adult areas of Disney. Two places I would particularly recommend are JellyRolls Dueling Piano Bar and Senses Spa. You can find me at Facebook: Magic Bound Travel by Neal Jones Email: neal@magicboundtravel.com |
