My first visit to Walt Disney World Resort was as a teenager.  I went in 1997 for the 25 year anniversary celebration, which means I got to see the pink, birthday cake castle in all its glory!  I absolutely loved everything about that trip.  I have always been a Disney fan, but being on the streets in Magic Kingdom and exploring the countries in EPCOT made me want to live at Disney.  Spoiler, I do not live at Walt Disney World.  That trip and each trip after have been so special for me and my family.  When we took our son on his first trip at the age of 4, we were selected to be the first family in the Welcome Show at the Magic Kingdom.  It was a such a magical experience for us all!  I am fairly certain that I enjoyed interacting with the characters more than our son.

I have expanded my love for all things Disney into my love of running.  In 2023, I ran the runDisney Marathon Weekend Half Marathon and then decided to register for the 2024 runDisney Princess Half Marathon Weekend to run the 5K and Fairytale Challenge.  I have also enjoyed the cruising life with Disney Cruise Line by traveling on the Magic, Dream, and Wish ships.  The magic, memories, and the food keep me coming back!
