2. RunDisney courses are flat (mostly). For a mountain runner that really doesn’t have any training options without hills other than a school track, flat long courses are wonderful. And they are lined with cheerleaders, live entertainment, character spots, porta-potties, snack and hydration spots, photo ops, scenic park views and lots of runner costume watching.
3. RunDisney knows how to party! From the pre-event Expo to the morning of party warm up before the event even starts- the excitement is tangible. Every corral gets their own firework start and the party continues throughout the course. The finish line makes every runner feel like royalty and the celebration doesn’t end once the medal is around your neck.
4. RunDisney leads to food. Oh my, will run for Dole Whips. The Walt Disney World Resort creates some of the most amazing food in the world. And celebrating a RunDisney event is a great excuse to indulge in cuisine fit for a princess (or prince).
5. RunDisney Community. And I meant to capitalize the C. It is a worldwide Community. Perfect strangers are family instantly and the support, encouragement, motivation, and camaraderie of RunDisney events are some of my most cherished Disney memories.
